Job Description
- Prepare daily lessons and long-term teaching programs in accordance with CIE guidelines
- Teach using a variety of methods, including formal lessons, discussions, practical activities, experiments, projects, assignments and excursions, taking into account the differences between the individual students
- Use information technology to assist with lesson preparation, teaching and reporting
- Set tests, exams, projects, assignments and homework; mark and correct assessments; and sort the results
- Evaluate and report on the progress of students and discuss individual performance and problems with students and parents
- Establish and maintain good working habits and discipline in classrooms and throughout the school
- Supervise relief classes when other teachers are absent
- Supervise students during lunchtime and other breaks when scheduled
- Carry out relevant administrative duties
- Attend staff meetings, educational conferences, trainings and other professional development activities
- Assist in organizing sporting events, camping trips and other excursions
- Work with other staffs to improve on the methodology of teaching to meet CIE requirements
Requirements:
- At least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent
- Experience in IGCSE or National teaching syllabus
- At least 4 to 5 years of teaching experience in either National or International School
- Experienced in teaching subjects - Mandarin / Geography & History/ Design & Technology / Arts / Mathematics / Science / Bahasa Malaysia / Moral
