Job Description
Research & Development (Downstream) Department
Candidate must possess at least a Master's Degree, in Life/Biological Sciences, Science & Technology, BioTechnology ,Chemical (Bioprocess) Engineering, Biotechnology with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to involve in downstream process transfer from Biocon India to Biocon Malaysia for downstream unit operations
- Responsible to involve in process transfer from R&D to manufacturing facility.
- Responsible to strictly follow good documentation practice and continuous practice of quality and EHS systems in the function.
- Responsible to fulfil the training needs identified for effective execution of job function.
- Responsible for performing experimental studies as part of investigation to identify root cause and provide corrective actions to support manufacturing operations.
- Responsible to perform lab and pilot scale validations and follow-on process characterisation followed by compilation of data.
- Responsible for conducting process improvements and process optimization, evaluation of alternate techniques and materials.
- Responsible for data compilation periodically of pilot/manufacturing scale batches to perform data analysis and evaluate trends.
- Responsible to periodically report the results and conclusions to team leader and discuss on experimental plans.
- Responsible for conducting process improvements and process optimization, evaluation of alternate techniques and materials.

- Responsible to draft scientific reports using the process data, protocols and plan for the activities.
- Responsible to effectively plan and ensure the resources required for execution of study.
- Responsible to work as team and verify data generated at lab to provide appropriate conclusions.
- Responsible for effective inter and intra departmental communication.
- Responsible to coordinate preparation and review of protocols, reports, operating procedures for studies.
Job Requirement:
- At least 0-2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Nusajaya.
- Preferably Executives specializing in Biotechnology or equivalent.
- Contractual positions available.
