Job Description
Duties of a Procurement Assistant
- Prepare purchase orders.
- Review prices and product specifications from various suppliers to determine the best deal.
- Creating and maintaining purchasing files and price lists, as well as determining sufficient inventory on hand.
- Track deliveries and make sure goods received are exactly as ordered from suppliers.
- Physically check shipments to ensure the appropriate items were delivered.
- Answer supplier and customer inquiries about order changes or cancellations and check requisition orders for accuracy.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in any field.
- At least 2 years of working experience in related field.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office applications.
- Positive, reliable, well organised and able to maintain confidentiality.
