Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Server focus will be to provide a warm and personal experience service to the guest in a timely and sophisticated fashion. The Server will be an important part of the team, working towards the common goal of exceeding the expectations of all who come to dine in the restaurants.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, Micros and manual systems, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the restaurant.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes in the restaurant.
- Maintain knowledge of the characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list will be an added advantage.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation.
- Set up all condiments and beverages (non-alcoholic) according to service standards.
- Take food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
- Retrieve all alcoholic beverage items from bar and serve to guest in accordance with the departmental standards.
- Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Restock items for next service. Remove all dirty linen. Reset tables for next meal period.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Minimum education SPM or of equivalent.
- Pleasant personality and well groomed.
- At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Ability to work on shift and public holiday.
- Applicable for Citizens of Malaysia and/or Permanent Residents of Malaysia only.
