Job Description
We are looking for passionate and motivated Part-time Tutors for our various regional centres located in Penang, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Kuching for the following schools and centre:
1) SCHOOL OF BUSINESS & ADMINISTRATION
2) SCHOOL OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY
3) SCHOOL OF EDUCATION, HUMANITIES & SOCIAL SCIENCES
4) SCHOOL OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
5) CENTRE FOR FOUNDATION STUDIES
Responsibilities:
- To conduct face-to-face (physical and online) sessions, telephone tutoring and/or other means of communication to be in contact with the students so as to assist them in their studies.
- To mark and provide timely and constructive feedback in assignments/projects/laboratory reports.
- To be available in between face-to-face (physical and online) sessions to motivate and support students in the timely completion of their assignments/quizzes/projects/laboratory reports.
Requirements:
- A Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years of teaching/industrial experience in the related field.
- A doctoral degree would be an added advantage.
- Experience in tutoring in an ODL environment would be an added advantage.
- Well-versed in facilitating courses using interactive teaching and learning methods.
- Ability to use various online teaching and learning tools.
- Have a valid teaching permit for the field/course(s) applied.
