Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer supports product engineering activities which involves analysing, designing and prototyping equipment, jigs, processes or automation to improve production and quality.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients, production and quality on product specifications and requirements
- Determine design requirement, drawing specification, machining specification, installation and testing method to meet target function
- Plan on projects design structuring to effectively and efficiently create design within timeline.
- Design or redesign mechanical devices or machine or jig fixture using analysis and computer-aided design in 2D or 3D
- Develop and test prototypes of devices been design
- Analyze the test results and change the design as needed
- Work closely with production and quality to understand design issues and formulate solutions to ensure intended design objectives
- Prepare related SOPs of product for production to control products assembly method will be the same to create same quality of products for future
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years experience in design of mechanical and/or thermal equipment
- 3 years experience in manufacturing industry
- Good knowledge of pneumatic and motorized systems
- Experienced using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and CREO
- Experience working with suppliers
- Experience developing and testing prototypes
- Familiar with process improvement or Kaizen
