Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for day-to-day Logistics operation activities including equipment planning and maintenance, monitoring of depot performance and regular depot visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage special equipment including reefers
- Closely monitor depot performances and conduct depot visit regularly to inspect equipment physically
- Manage overall equipment maintenance and repair activities include liasing with customers and depots
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports as assigned including forecasting
- Handle One Way Free Use activities as per sublease agreement
- Manage overall equipment planning and monitoring of outgoing cargo shipments
- Responsible to check EDI on Error Management module and ensure load / discharge DTX file to HQ
- Responsible to prepare and submit Loading Forecast and Loading List, prepare and submit SOB
- Any additional duties assigned by immediate supervisor / Dept Manager
Pre- requisites:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree and/or possess any relevant qualification associated with Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Candidate must have minimum 2 – 3 years working experience in container Logistics sector and/or similar industries
- Candidate must have the ability to operate in a changing environment with high volumes of work, fast learner, and strong desire to learn new things
- Possesses strong attention to detail along with good problem-solving skills while displaying enthusiasm and commitment.
- Excellent in teamwork, strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize multiple demands as well as strong communication skills at all levels to meet internal and external customers’ demands.
- Excellent in both spoken and written English.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision, self-motivated, organized, hardworking, result oriented.
- Able to adapt to new environment including learning new processes and system.
