JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To propose to Engineering Manager on developing customized design and cost estimation of new product as well as assisting production to trouble shot and to ensure profitability of job.
- To prepare and provide the following documents for each job.
- Production drawings
- BOM specification
- Production templates
- Special manufacturing and application information to production and perform necessary improvement and cost savings to improve productivity, profitability and design function.
- To support in preparation of products documentation such as:
- Liase with principal of new drawings and job process flow management
- Operating and service manual, parts manual
- Instruction manual or installation instruction
- To lead in sourcing of suitable material, components and qualified vendors when necessary with supervision and approval of HOD
- To lead in operational communication with production and solution under consent of HOD for
- Technical support for fitting and welding of product
- Technical support involving mechanical installation
- To carry out prototype production testing, commissioning, performance evaluation and development under supervision and approval of HOD.
- Carryout cost estimation for products
- Collect manufacturing and application information/ inputs necessary to cost savings program and improve functional product design
- General engineering office administration and record keeping and updating.
- To lead in carry out job order distribution including distributing relevant information like BOM, drawings, or installation instructions.
- To manage part maintenance in ERP system including part revision, part entry with approval of HOD
- Liaise with principal on design and material updates
- To assist fabrication in trouble shooting and design improvement
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years in Manufacturing plant with similar role.
- Experienced in CREO and Solidworks.
- Knowledge in fabrication processes.
- Knowledge in metal works & design would be an added advantages.
- Ability to perform analysis and calculation of material fatigue and mechanical properties.
- Reading & writting skills in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin as require to deal with the suppliers from China.
