Job Description

  • Planning and monitoring of daily cashflow projections, to ensure sufficient cashflows for the daily operations. 
  • Ensure all branch cash collections are bank in intact as per daily limit setting on a daily basis. 
  • Ensure all local bank reconciliations are performed on a daily basis. 
  • Maintain control and monitoring of monthly expenses payments. 
  • Check payment vouchers issued and correctness of posting into the accounting system. 
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. 
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. 
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. 
  • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions. 
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls. 
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups. 
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. 
  • Review the MC branch daily closing report for shortages / discrepancies. 
  • Monitor progress of MC daily reconciliation of transactions and accuracy of rates and amount allocated for buy and sell. 
  • Ensure all accruals of expenses are done accordingly for invoices not yet received. 
  • Ensure reversal / additional accruals are performed appropriately. 
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are completed with reconciling items explained (if any). 
  • Check that money changer sales and purchase data are posted correctly into the respective cost centers and correct denomination. 
  • Ensure all branch money changer closing balance in the accounting system agree with the actual branch money changer closing report. 
  • Monitor closely and ensure month end closing progress on time and accounts are closed by 5th of every month. 
  • Profit and loss statement by cost centers. 
  • Analysis of performance by segments. 
  • Analysis of operating expenses variances (actual). 
  • Prepare the Bank Negara Malaysia reports. 
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. 
  • Another relevant ad-hoc task as and when required. 

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is require for this position.
  • Required language: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin
  • Preferably Senior Executive / Assistant Manager specialized in Banking / Finance Services or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, and some other IT knowledge.
